The 2009 Traditional Chinese Tea Art Talk organized by Tea Chapter Trading attracted more than 100 participating students from our school. From the talk, our students gained knowledge of Chinese tea and its customs. There were attractive hands-on activities such as tea brewing and traditional handicraft making. It was a meaningful learning journey for all upper secondary Chinese students. Chinese New Year celebration 2009 was carried out successfully on 23rd January 2009 with a variety of stage performances. Apart from Chinese cultural performances such as “Pluck the green” by our very own lion dance troupe, Wu Shu performance, there were Chinese songs performed by the Guzheng troupe. There were performances by the Malay Culture Dance, a short drama regarding Chinese culture by ELDDS (drama club) as well as Chinese New year songs sung by Choir members accompanied by music by the Angklung members Students and teachers soaking up the atmosphere in the CNY celebration 2009

2009 National Inter-School Cross Talking Competition |

The 24th National Inter-School Cross Talking Competition jointly organized by National Junior College and Lianhe Zaobao attracted more than 30 participating teams. Ten teams, including the Ping Yi duo, were selected for the grand finals. The team eventually clinched the merit award. In addition, Liu Bo Fang from 402 was crowned the Most Outstanding Speaker Award. Congratulations to the both of them!
