On the 23rd of April, 91.3FM “School Express” paid a visit to Ping Yi Secondary School.The secondary 3 Express students were chosen to be the audience for their fun and wacky programme.The DeeJays talked about their jobs and gave out freebies to enthusiastic participants of their games.They even gave away free passes to their studio so that our students were able to witness a Deejay at work!

On the 7th of April 2009, the English Language Department embarked on a Learning Journey to NorthbrooksSecondary School.There, we learnt some of their good practices and were impressed by their collection of resources.Through much sharing and discussion amongst the teachers of both schools, we were enriched in our learning and invigorated by new ideas and innovations in teaching and learning.
University of New South Wales Australian Assessment Competition for English

On the 5th of August, the Sec 1 Express and 2 Express students took part in the University of New South Wales Australian Assessment Competition for English. Among the 172 participants from our school we attained 1 distinction and 6 credits.
Distinction: Walt Tay (101)
Walt's score of 44 / 55 has put him in the top 11th percentile of all participants in Singapore and 14th percentile internationally. *applause*
