The Art Department has undergone a major revamped in its curriculum, structures and procedures since the last strategic direction 2 years ago.  With the new implementations, Knowledge Managers within this small department had grown in knowledge delivery and to work together as a team.  Knowledge managers were trained in project management skills and are given full authority to sculpt a syllabus to suit the needs of the students.   With new enhancements in the current system, the aim to empower Knowledge Managers in the area of Instructional program and productivity will be the driving benchmark for 2008.

In line with the spirit of Innovation and Enterprise, the Art Department has positioned itself to provide a more all rounded education for the students.  New techniques will be implemented to enhance learning in and out of the classroom.  With the use of modern technologies, students will be exposed to international competitions and exposure.  The Knowledge Managers within the department are empowered with the necessary resources and experiences to make learning fun.

In order to achieve this mission, the department has set the following goals:
  1. To challenge students with an intensive curriculum characterized by individualized instruction.
  2. To maintain facilities and resources that foster opportunities to experience the creation, exhibition, and study of the visual arts.
  3. To provide opportunities for community involvement and broaden public awareness of the visual arts.

The Department views educational achievement as both individual and collective responsibility. Art uniquely transforms those who create and those who respond.  The department will continue to have the transformative value of art to connect with members of the community, enhancing and enriching lives, and making us more conscious of ourselves and others in the world.

Your child is in good hands and we will shape them to be effective and confident artistic designers.

Yours truly,
Miss Selena Jew
